Dorset Climate Change Coalition

Climate Change is now widely recognised as the most important challenge facing the world this century.

There are many voluntary and public sector organisations in Dorset whose aims coincide with each other, with respect to reducing Dorset’s impact on climate change.

A Dorset Climate Change Coalition (DCCC) was a project bringing together partner organisations in order to present a more effective and coherent voice to communicate this message to the people of Dorset. The emphasis of this message is on mitigating the extent of climate change, by focussing on reducing CO2 emissions.

The Dorset Climate Change Coalition's mission statement is;.

“By working together, to communicate with the people of Dorset the urgency of action on Climate Change and to enable and inspire them to take action, both individually and collectively, to address this.”

da21 is the secretariat of the coalition.

The coalition is currently not undertaking any activities due to limitations of funding and partners involvement. However a considerable amount was achieved when the project was active, a project report is avaliable to download on this page.
