Dorset Reclaim

A Charity & Social Enterprise based in Dorset

The principle aim of Dorset Reclaim is to provide furniture and household items to those in need within the local community. A secondary aim of the project is to provide opportunities for members of the local community to help in the day-to-day running of the organisation.

Promote waste reduction & reuse of household waste. Increase recycling and composting of household waste. Reduce the impact of landfilling. Encourage and promote recycling and composting of commercial, industrial & agricultural waste. Improve resource use and promote sustainability in the County Council.

The South West Waste Minimisation Group was establish to develop and promote the use of the best practical techniques for the profitable and economic minimisation of wastes arising from the South Wessex businesses, to secure environmental and financial benefits. The group promotes cooperation and the exchange of ideas and information between participating organisations to encourage environmental responsibility.
